EVERY 10k and 5k finisher will receive a unique Mercedes-Benz finishing medal after they cross the finish line!
AWARDS:
10k Run:
Age Categories male and female in 5-year age groups: 14 & under, 15 – 19, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70+
10k Power Walk:
Age Categories male and female in the following age groups only: Under 40, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60+
5k Run:
Age Categories male and female in 10-year age groups: 14 & under, 15 – 24, 25 – 34, 35 – 44, 45 – 54, 55 – 64, 65+
5k Power Walk:
Age Categories male and female in the following age groups only: Under 40, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
AGE CATEGORY AWARDS will not be presented during the Awards Ceremony - rather results will be posted in the Athlete's Village and the respective winners are asked to go to the "Awards Table" where you will be presented with your age category award. Note: Winners of the Open divisions are not eligible for age category prizing.
HIGH SCHOOL CHALLENGE for the top 3 finishers (must be currently enrolled as high school students): A Trophy will be given to the High School with the top 3 finishing times in the race and $500 will be donated to Oakville Community Foundation on behalf of the winning school! So bring out your students, win a trophy, AND help the OCF!
APPLEBY ALUMNI CUP CHALLENGE: the top male and female Alumni finishing times will win the 'cup' challenge and earn their place in Appleby history (or at least their names on a trophy to be kept at the school).
RANDOM DRAW PRIZES:
Random draw prizes for finishers of the 10k run, 10k power walk, 5k run and 5k power walk will be presented during the Awards Ceremony. You must be in attendance to win.
THE GRAND PRIZE:
To win the Grand Prize you do not have to be first to cross the finish line. A 1-year lease of a Mercedes-Benz C-Class or 4-month lease of a Mercedes-Benz SLK, from Mercedes-Benz Oakville Autohaus, will be awarded by random draw to any 10K finisher! Only those 10K finishers who are 25 years of age or older on race day will be eligible to win the Grand Prize. You must be in attendance at the Awards Ceremony to win. Other great draw prizes worth $5,000 will be awarded by random draw to any 10k or 5k finisher! No age restriction on these. You must be in attendance at the Awards Ceremony to win. There are some excellent draw prizes as well!
